This year I believe I have grown in understanding of the trial system here in the USA. This year in Language Arts we learned about the trial system through a mock trial project. A mock trial is when you hold a trial that is based off a real or fictional case. There will be students who act as a judge, witness, attorney and jury. I think I grew in this because at first I did not know the trial system at all. After this project, I learned so much and understand the Trial system. Some artifacts that show this are my opening statement and closing statement that I did. I would not have been able to write these opening and closing statements if I did not understand how trials work. I know I did good on them because I got good grades on this assignment.
